Our Civil and Non Denominational Religious wedding packages are from 2 to 8 people. When the group is larger that 8 people, every extra person has a charge of US$ 17 (incl. Tax and service charge) per person. Extra children under the age of 3 are free of charge.

Don’t forget to bring with you for the first personal meeting the required paperwork such as the Tourist Cards and the passports for the wedding couple and the 4 witnesses.

Wedding documents needed by Iberostar Cozumel hotel:

Passports ( Bride and Groom must have passports in order)
Birth Certificates translated into Spanish by an official translator and attached with an “Apostille”. “Apostille” is a form of certification that it’s required by the Mexican Authorities in order to make your papers legal here in Mexico.
If you are American, please contact the Secretary of State where you were born. You should send your birth certificates to the Secretary of State and enclose a letter stating that you are getting married in Mexico and that you need and Apostille. They will the return you the documents.
If you are British, please contact the Legalization Department of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
If you are Canadian, please contact the nearest Mexican embassy or consulate in order to legalize you Birth Certificate and translation.
Tourist Cards ( which every foreigner obtains on the flight down to Mexico ).
Divorce Decree or Certificate, if applicable translated into Spanish (please advice when the Bride is divorce). You need an apostille.
Witnesses: You will need four witnesses with their picture ID and a copy of their Tourist card for your wedding. They need to be here at the latest four working days prior to the wedding. If you do not bring any witnesses, the hotel will be happy to provide them without any extra charge.
Blood Test (to determined blood type, HIV, RH Factor and Venereal diseases) – have to be made at the Hotel in Mexico, cost: $ 100 USD per couple (payable at the moment of the test directly to the doctor in cash).
Marriage License Apostille (for USA and British Citizens) after the wedding you will receive your Marriage License and an original copy. In order to make this valid in your country, we need as well to get the Apostille for the Marriage Licesnse.
The ceremony will not be performed unless all documents are in order (no exception) .

Iberostar Cozumel hotel payment policy:

We do not require a deposit and we do not make any charges prior to the wedding day, all the wedding charges will go onto the room account which you can settle during your stay (the hotel accepts credit cards, travelers checks and cash).
