The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel refers all weddings to its sister property, the Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, which is located across the street on Kalakaua Avenue.

Our catering staff will attend to your every need and provide several options for your dream wedding ceremony location - including the magnificent, oceanfront Diamond Lawn, and our romantic roof-top Garden. We offer an equally memorable selection of wedding reception sites and menu options.

Documents
   • For any person to lawfully marry in the State of Hawaii, a license for that purpose must be obtained from an authorized agent (HRS 572-1.7). Once the license has been issued, there is no waiting period before the marriage can take place.
   • Both Bride and Groom must appear together for the appointment located at:
Department of Health - Marriage License Section

Monday-Friday -8:00am- 4:00pm
   • Must present Marriage License Application at time of appointment
   • 18 years of age or younger will need a birth certificate
   • Photo Identification for both Bride and Groom is required.
   • The prospective bride and groom must appear together in person before a marriage license agent to apply for a marriage license. Proxies are not allowed.
   • The prospective bride and groom should be prepared to provide the necessary proof of age and present any required written consents and approvals. All of the necessary documents should be obtained prior to applying for a marriage license.
   • The prospective bride and groom must prepare an official application and file the application in person with the marriage license agent. Applications are provided by the marriage license agent or may be downloaded from this site (see below). The application will not be accepted if sent by either postal mail or e-mail.
   • Upon approval, a marriage license is issued at the time the application is made.
   • The marriage license costs $ 60.00, payable in cash at the time the application is made.
   • The marriage license is good only in, but is valid throughout, the State of Hawaii.
   • The marriage license expires 30 days from and including the date of issuance, after which it automatically becomes null and void.

For any evening wedding event (excluding Saturday and any Sunday preceeding a State or Federal Holiday), the staff and management have a complimentary amenity as a special gift to you.

Ceremony Package Details
The following information will assist you in planning your wedding day. We offer complete assistance with all of your wedding ceremony requirements. The entire timeframe of these packages is 45 minutes to one hour.

Ceremony Package Details

Minister: Conducts a non-denominational ceremony, of approximately 10 minutes.

Vocalist: Performs three songs accompanied by a stringed instrument. Songs include the traditional Hawaiian Wedding Song.

Coordinator: The coordinator will meet with the bride, or the couple, approximately 20 minutes prior to the scheduled time of the ceremony and will escort the bride to the selected ceremony location: Diamond Lawn, Roof Garden or Ocean Chapel. The coordinator may assist the bride through a brief rehearsal, should one be requested, and will remain on site through the ceremony. Following the conclusion of the ceremony, the coordinator will excuse herself, as at this point the photographer or family and friends surround the newly married couple with attention.

Florals: Site decor as well as bride's bouquet and groom's boutonniere suggests a "springtime" effect; white daisies, pink carnations, greenery and other flowers, such as snap dragons, larkspur or gladiolus. The bridal bouquet consists of white or pink roses, pink carnations, a white lily, white daisies, babies breaths and ferns.

Photography:We may hire a photographer separately, upon your request, or you may provide on your own. Prices are as follows:

4x6 Prints w/Album & Negatives (45): $375.00 + tax
5x7 Prints w/Album & Negatives: (20) $400.00 + tax
8x10 Prints w/folders & Negatives (5) $500.00 + tax

* Should you require more personalized attention, i.e. hair, make-up, pressing of gown, it is suggested that you secure the services of a wedding consultant who will plan on spending the entire day with you. Please inquire should one be needed.

Policies

A non-refundable deposit of $ 1,000.00 is required to confirm your function space and date. this means that your $ 1,000.00 deposit will not be returned to you if you cancel your event for any reason. your $ 1,000.00 deposit will however, be applied to your final payment. should you request to change the date of yourfunction we will require an additional deposit (not refundable) of $ 1,000.00.

Payments: prepayment of 50% of the expected food revenue, room rental, ceremony site fees and tax must be received no later than ninety (90) days prior to the date of your event. full prepayment must be received no later than 15 days prior to the planned event. All prepayment is non-refundable.

A guarantee count of all attending guests is required at least three (3) business days prior to your event.
