Information

General Information

Documents

Birth certificate. Certified copies legalized by the Mexican Consulate in your country.
Copy of Valid Passports (Groom & Bride) (ESSENTIAL).
Medical certificate signed and posted by the doctor made no more than 10 days before the wedding date.
Four witnesses are required by law. If any of the witnesses is not Mexican citizen; a copy of their passport as an ID. The hotel can provide any number of witness necessary, please advice.
Reservation with the judge should be made 30 days prior to the ceremony.

Notes:

Passports and birth certificate must have the same information.
Tourist visa must be filled according to the official document you will present.
HIV positive, it is a cause of impediment to get married.
If the Bride is divorced in Canada and her passport has her ex husband last name, she needs to bring a separate and Original Birth Certificate and Tourist Visa Card. This card MUST be filled according to the Birth Certificate .
If the Bride is divorced in United States or United Kingdom and her passport has her ex husband last name, she needs to bring a separate and Original Birth Certificate certified through an APOSTILLE SEAL by the Secretary of State and translated into Spanish as well as the Apostille and her Tourist Visa Card MUST be filled according to the Birth Certificate.
THE MARRIAGE IS LEGAL IN MEXICO.

*The certify copies of the Original Birth Certificate and Original Divorce Certificates will stay with the Justice of the Peace. THEY WONT BE RETURNED*.
