Valid ID with recent photograph
Original Birth Certificate (get original copies of the birth certificate, the Judge Keeps them) an apostille by the issuing State must remain as issued (seal or stapled).
Valid Passport
Original and copy of the Tourist Card used to enter Mexico
Health Certificate: must be done locally in Puerto Vallarta, 3 days prior to the wedding and must include: general health examination, blood test (blood type, rubella, HIV).
Valid ID of four witnesses, with recent photograph (witnesses can not be the parents of the bride and/or groom).
Assistance to a premarital meeting held on Wednesdays at DIF offices
Previously married Bride or Groom:
The Mexican Law requires that a minimum time of one full year has passed from date of final dissolution of marriage (divorce). This must be verified with a certified copy of the final Divorce Decree.
Death of a spouse. This must be verified with a certified copy of the dead certificate.
In both cases the documents must have the apostille of the issuing State (seal or stapled).
Birth certificate, divorce decree and dead certificates, must be translated in Puerto Vallarta.
We recommend you have all your documents ready to begin with your legal requirements in Puerto Vallarta through a professional wedding planner 30 days prior to the Ceremony.
