Wedding documents needed by Buenaventura hotel:

Certified Birth Certificate. Canadians : Must have their birth certificates stamped and signed by a Mexican Consulate. Others foreigners : Must obtain an apostille from the Secretary of State where they were born. These documents should be at least one month before the ceremony to allow time for translation.
Passport o other immigration documentation authorizing presence in Mexico (original and copy) If you do not have a passport, your Birth Certificate will need an Apostille by the Secretary of State from which the certificate was registered which will need to be translated into Spanish by a professional translator *Canadian Citizens: if you do not have a passport, you will need your birth certificate stamped by the Department of Foreign Affairs then legalized by the Mexican Consular office from where your birth certificate was issued.
Copy of a photo ID such as valid driver's license .Blood tests must be performed in Vallarta before the weeding. A certificate of health will be issued and must be among the documents presented to the Registro civil (county clerk’s office). and Blood type. These results must be taken no more than 14 days before wedding date.
Certified death certificate or divorced decree from any previous spouse. If your divorce decree indicates after how much time you are allowed to get married again, these indications are valid for a marriage in Mexico, if there are no indication at all, please note that at least a year must have been passed since the death or divorce before you can remarry here. FMT tourist card (This document will be given to you by the airline and stamped by the Immigration Officer upon arrival in Mexico)
