To celebrate your wedding legally and/or spiritually it is necessary for the couple to complete the following requirements:

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LEGAL WEDDING: (GROOM & BRIDE)
1. Marriage application
2. Birth certificate (duly translated to Spanish)
3. Passport or driver’s license
4. Prove of legal stay in Mexico (Original & Copy)
5. Blood test (Not older than 15 days prior to the wedding day)
6. Health certificate (also not older than 15 days prior to the wedding day)
7. Divorce certificate if applicable (also translated to Spanish)
8. Death certificate of previous spouse if applicable (translated to Spanish)
9. Four (4) Testifiers, could be relatives, except parents (must present prove of legal stay in Mexico and photo ID, if the testifiers are Mexican citizens, only will need official photo ID)
10. If any of the engaged is a Mexican citizen, the couple has to have a Marriage License from Immigration office.
In the case if any of the engaged is a foreigner is necessary to have an authorization from the Mexican Immigration Office with a extra charge for the service. Birth, Divorce, name Change and Death certificate must be duly translated into Spanish by a certified Translator designed for the City Hall of Nuevo Vallarta and will have an extra charge, Blood Test and Health Certificate can be done outside of Mexico, if so, they will also have to be translated into Spanish.
The requirements to get the wedding authorization are: Copies of the entire passport of the foreigner engaged, even the blank spaces; Prove of legal stay in Mexico of the foreigner engaged Birth certificate of the Mexican engaged Letter from the foreigner Engaged requesting the marriage license to marry a Mexican citizen Letter from the Mexican engaged supporting that request 3 originals of the Immigration office # 5 form.
All the official requirements need to be in original and two copies and must be received by our Wedding Coordinator 15 working days prior your Wedding date in order to comply with the civil Registry Office regulations.
Requirements for a spiritual ceremony
Symbolic or spiritual ceremonies can take place in any of our beautiful locations and is performed by a Non-denominational Minister certified; this ceremony does not have a legal or religious value. The ministers give a lecture about love and others symbolic details.
