Important wedding information from Iberostar Paraiso Lindo hotel:

Our wedding packages include tax & service charge
Due to the high amount of weddings that we have we kindly ask you to request the wedding date as soon as possible. We have a policy of having only one wedding per day, as we believe it should be your special day.
The wedding couple and their witnesses must be in Mexico for 4 complete business days (Monday to Friday) before the wedding, to meet with the wedding coordinator and submit all documents and wedding details.
The ceremony will not be performed unless all documents are in order (no exception)
The marriage is legal ONLY in Mexico. If you want to make it legal in your country you have to pay $ 45 USD extra in order to take the apostille. You will receive this paper by mail 2 months after the wedding.
Don´t forget to bring with you for the first personal meeting the required paperwork (Passports, Birth Certificates with the official Spanish translation and the Apostille, Divorce Decree with the official Spanish translation and the Apostille, such as the Tourist Card).
Marriage License Apostille (for USA and British Citizens).- after the wedding you will receive your Marriage License and an original copy. In order to make this valid in you country, we need as well to get the apostille for the Marriage License. We take care of the process but it is $ 45 USD payable in cash before the wedding day. The process takes 2 months approximately and as soon as we have it ready you will receive it by mail.

Wedding documents needed by Iberostar Paraiso Lindo hotel:

Passports (BRIDE AND GROOM MUST HAVE PASSPORTS IN ORDER)
Birth Certificates translated into Spanish by an official translator that can be found in the yellow pages of your city, attached with an “Apostille”. “Apostille” is a form of certification that it’s required by the Mexican Authorities in order to make your papers legal here in Mexico.
If you are American, please contact the Secretary of State where you were born. You should send your birth certificates to the Secretary of State and enclose a letter stating that you are getting married in Mexico and that you need an Apostille. They will then return you the documents.
If you are British, please contact the Legalization Department of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
If you are Canadian, please contact the nearest Mexican Embassy or Consulate in order to legalize your Birth Certificate and translation.
The Judge keeps the original birth certificates, so we recommend you to bring certified copies rather than originals
Divorce Decree or Certificate, if applicable translated into Spanish (please advice when the Bride is divorce). “Apostille” is mandatory and needed.
Tourist Cards ( which every foreigner obtains on the flight down to Mexico ).
Witnesses: You will need four witnesses with their picture ID and a copy of their Tourist card for your wedding. They have to be here at the latest three complete working day’s (Monday to Friday) prior to the wedding. If you do not bring any witnesses, the hotel will be happy to provide them without any extra charge.
Blood Test (to determined blood type, HIV, RH Factor and Venereal deceases) – has to be made at the Hotel in Mexico, cost: $ 154 USD per couple (payable at the moment of the test directly to the doctor in cash).

Iberostar Paraiso Lindo hotel payment policy:

We do not require a deposit and we do not make any charges prior the wedding day,
all the wedding charges will go onto the room account which you can settle during your stay.
The hotel accepts credit cards (Master card, Visa & American Express – In Mexico we do not take Discovery CC) , travelers checks and cash.
