General Information
Your Wedding Day is the most important day in your life as a couple. At the Royal Hideaway Playacar planning a Five-Diamond ceremony and reception with exquisite service and attention to every splendid detail is as simple as saying “I Do”. Our wedding and vow renewal services & packages surpass expectations because our commitment to flawless weddings is certain, and no other wedding is scheduled on your day. We focus only on you. With the professional services of the Royal Hideaway Wedding Coordinator, we encourage Couples to customize their wedding dreams.
Documents
• Passport (Mandatory to be able to be married in Mexico)
• Tourist Card (Issued in customs upon arrival at the Cancun Airport)
• Must be in Mexico 3 Full Business Days prior the Wedding Day (Saturday, Sunday and Mexican Public holidays not included)
• Blood Test (mandatory for the Bride & Groom and by law this must be done in Mexico at the designated medical office).
• In the event that the Bride is divorced and has kept the ex husband’s last name, the marriage certificate will not indicate the parents names. If it is wished to have the parents names on the certificate it will be required to present her Birth Certificate in English and one translated into Spanish, both officially done so with Apostille seals.
• Once the Marriage certificate is given to the couple, this will need an apostille to make it legal in their country. The cost of this apostille is 100usd.
• 4 Witnesses are required:
If the witness is a Mexican Citizen:
• A photo I.D. is required (Passport or Credencial de Elector)
Non-Mexican witnesses require the following:
• Passport (Mandatory to be able to be a Witness),
• Tourist Card given at Cancun Airport
• Be in Mexico 3 Full Business Days prior the Wedding Day, (Saturday, Sunday and Mexican Public holidays not included)
• Minimum age required is 18 years old
Witnesses can be provided. A surcharge of $25 USD each one for this service will apply
The Bride, the Groom and the Witnesses are required to be present in Mexico and at the hotel at least three (3) full business days prior to the Wedding Day (Saturday, Sunday and Public holidays not included). We require the original documents. Should witnesses be staying at another hotel, they must be able to come to the property to sign the wedding form 3 Business days prior to the ceremony.
Marriage in Mexico is valid in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, however it remains your responsibility to reconfirm locally with your own country and State. The Marriage Certificate that you will receive is in Spanish. Please contact your local Court House to inquire about the procedures to legalize and translate your Marriage Certificate. If you are traveling from another country than those listed above, please contact your Consulate regarding Mexican Marriages.

BAR SERVICE (Cocktail Receptions)
There is a minimum charge of 25 guests for private bar service. The hotel is subject to all laws concerning alcohol consumption and service, as mandated by the country and local municipality.
Bar set up and service between the hours of 8:00am to 12:00am is $13.00 USD per person the first hour and $11.00 per person per hour for subsequent hours. After 12:00am the open bar service charge is $20usd per person per hour (based on the 25 minimum) plus a Bartender/Server Transportation fee of $80usd per Bartender/Server.
All Dinner selections (buffet or plated) include open bar and coffee/tea service during dinner (maximum 3 hours).
All Lunch Buffet selections include unlimited sodas, water, coffee and tea.
