The guests of the marriage dress in white or clear colors. In the center there will be an altar with flowers, maize and grains, water, copal and fire (candles or ignited coal). Everything that the Four Elements represent.

When the couple arrives in front of the altar, the Shaman will welcome them and present the purpose of the ceremony.

Playing drums and sea shells, the permission and the blessing of the four directions will be asked to the East, the West, the North, and the South, as well as the heart of the Heavens and the Supreme Beings, the heart of the Mother Earth and everything that in her lives, and our own Hearts, the center of Love.

In this way the attention and the relationship with the Universe is centered and settled for the purpose of the ceremony, the Spiritual Union of the couple.

The Godparents offer a mantle and seven threads of the colors of the rainbow in which the couple will be covered with.

During this union the Shaman will bless them with the four elements

He will give and sprinkle them with maize, symbolizing the Mother Earth, with all her blessings of abundances and food.

The couple will be blessed with water and flowers by a prayer for their relationship.

They will be blessed by the smoke of the Copal, Mayan natural incense, for the Understanding of each other.

Afterwards the God Parents, close relatives and friends will have the opportunity to share their wishes and advices for the couple.
